The Legend Of Zelda franchise is perhaps Nintendo's most beloved franchise after the Super Mario games! Having been first introduced to us on the NES back in 1986, the franchise is one of the gaming industry's longest running, and has graced almost every Nintendo console to date, as well as having had a short-lived 13-episode animated TV show back in 1989! The series mostly centres around the three main characters of Link (the protagonist), Zelda (the princess), and Ganon (the antagonist, also known as Ganondorf), although several games sometimes feature a different primary antagonist. The franchise is known for it's gameplay and puzzling dungeons, as well as for its award-winning orchestral musical scores!
