Today sees the long-awaited release of Metroid II: Samus Returns on the Nintendo 3DS - a reimagining of 1991's classic GameBoy game, Metroid II: Return Of Samus. Fans have been requesting a remake of the popular handheld game for decades, having originally been created in monochrome. A fan project called AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake) was previously released as freeware in 2016, which no doubt encouraged Nintendo to release an official remake of the classic game. The game follows in the footsteps of Zero Mission, which was an official reimagining of the original NES Metroid game for the GameBoy Advance. To celebrate the iconic bounty hunter, here's a collection of Displate artwork based on Samus Aran.
